This is the season for holiday parties, what with Thanksgiving and Christmas near. There will be numerous get-togethers with friends, acquaintances, and family. Eating is usually the activity involved in such events. Often times, I am asked to contribute with a covered dish. The covered dish I prefer taking is cheesecake.
Cheesecake is an easy take-along treat that is simple to serve and eat. Its delicious flavor compliments all other foods, regardless of the theme. It is not-too-sweet; not-too-tart and is the perfect go-with item. It stores either frozen or refrigerated for weeks or days well in advance of the party; thus, eliminating the last minute rush to "whip something up".

It is a plain cheesecake which is rich and scrumptious plain or can be "dressed up" with a simple fruit topping of choice or a dab of jam. Just picture how festive New York style cheesecake can look with a dollop of red raspberry jam or with a single chocolate-dipped strawberry complete with green stem placed on top. What a beautiful and appetizing treat that presents!
Chocolate cheesecake is a personal favorite of mine, which oozes decadent chocolaty goodness with each mouthful. It can be decorated with shavings from a chocolate candy bar or with a thin stream of chocolate syrup tastefully drizzled over it. It is even more delicious with a spray of Zip Whip whipped cream. Chocolate cheesecake satisfies everyone's sweet tooth.
For the more discerning palate, try pumpkin cheesecake for the holidays. Its spicy, pungent flavor is truly reminiscent of holiday eating. Pumpkin cheesecake is such a unique choice, it will make a very flavorful impression. Simply serve pumpkin cheesecake with a few shakes of cinnamon sugar for a truly incredible dessert option.
Of course, there are other cheesecake flavors from which to choose and the serving options are as endless and creative as your imagination allows. No matter which cheesecake flavor you choose, rest assured, it will be the highlight of the table, providing ease and peace of mind for yourself because of its simplicity and serve as a deliciously filling and memorable treat for your fellow partygoers.
